Austin recently completed a research internship with the NMMF studying biosonar in dolphins, and is currently finishing his Bachelor’s of Science in cognitive and behavioral neuroscience at the University of California San Diego. He earned his Associate’s degree in Biological Sciences from San Diego Mesa College in 2021 after serving in the Marine Corps from 2014-2019. Austin is passionate about data science and aims to further his education by earning a Master’s degree in this subject in the future. He enjoys surfing, playing piano, reading, and watching sci-fi. Austin’s interests include philosophy, neuroscience, mental health, and programming. He is currently working on multiple research projects and is learning how to perform behavioral hearing tests with dolphins.
