Brenda Bauer has more than 19 years of experience with marine mammal care, handling, training, and field operations.
She has led international marine mammal deployments for the U.S. Navy Marine Mammal Program to include animal transports by air, land, and sea; fleet support; facilitation of animal care; small boat operations; and coordination with foreign military and government officials. She has also served as a logistics lead and animal handler for the temporary catch, handling, and release of bottlenose dolphins in the Gulf of Mexico as part of the Deepwater Horizon oil spill investigation. Brenda leads the grants and contracts administration and project financial management in support of NMMF conservation medicine and research activities.
