Brian Matsuyama is a scientist in the Environmental Program and has been with the Foundation since June 2015. Prior to joining the Foundation, Brian was employed as an engineer for SSC Pacific. As part of the environmental team, he develops passive acoustic systems and algorithms for detection, classification and localization (DCL) of marine mammals. The purpose of this DCL research is to document marine mammal exposure and its effects.
