Prior to joining the Foundation, Brian was employed as an engineer for SSC Pacific. As part of the environmental team, he develops passive acoustic systems and algorithms for detection, classification and localization (DCL) of marine mammals. The purpose of this DCL research is to document marine mammal exposure and its effects.
