Dr. Gina Himes Boor is a quantitative ecologist and conservation biologist whose work primarily revolves around statistical analyses and modeling to better understand at-risk populations and the threats they face. She has a variety of academic and professional experience working on the science, policy, and management of species from a wide range of taxa, including terrestrial and marine mammals, birds, fish, and butterflies. Before joining the NMMF Conservation Medicine team, her most recent work focused on developing new analytical approaches to improve our understanding of the demographic and spatial dynamics of imperiled populations, including Cook Inlet beluga whales and Steller sea lions.
