Sydney earned her Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from UCLA in June of 2020. She has worked in the defense industry since graduating and transferred to the NMMF to explore her interests in marine science and research. Sydney hopes to pursue a PhD and continue studying marine life and conservation at UCSD. In her free time, Sydney volunteers at the Living Coast Discovery Center in Chula Vista.
