Whitney has been with the Marine Mammal Program since 2007, and has worn many hats during her time here! She has a long history as a trainer on the pens, and has also helped with Conservation Medicine, assisting with Vaquita CPR in Mexico, and dolphin health assessments in the Gulf of Mexico as part of GoMRI and CARMMHA. Whitney also has a Master’s degree in marine mammal bioacoustics, and has authored and co-authored 9 publications. We are very excited to welcome Whitney into the Animal Health and Welfare team and the Records Office. Her program knowledge from her time as a trainer, her conservation medicine experience, and her background with database management make her ideally suited to take on this new position. We hope that Whitney’s background will also help strengthen the connection between the pens and the records office. When Whitney is not being a jack-of-all-trades at work, she enjoys spending time with her family and 3 children, paddleboarding, and cake decorating. If you see Whitney, please congratulate her on her new role!
