From Our Pod to Yours: A Year of Dolphin Doctor in Review
Reading Time: 3 minutes
As we begin 2026, we are deeply grateful for our pod of supporters, learners, and marine mammal lovers. Let us reflect and share some highlights from our Community Engagement Program.
During a field trip, students observed water samples under the microscope to look for plankton and other microorganisms. Earlier that day, they collected the water sample using a plankton tow at the beach.

Don’t just take our word for it 一
“The Dolphin Doctor program brought so much joy to our classroom with a special way to learn about dolphins! It was an amazing learning experience for the students and is a favorite every year.”
-5th Grade Teacher, El Cajon
“I cannot speak highly enough of this curriculum and how helpful it has been to our youth, who otherwise may not have the resources or abilities to participate in marine wildlife educational workshops and events.”
-Community Leader, Hillcrest Youth Center
“This program was very well planned, full of great information, and a ton of fun for the kids. The kids became ‘doctors,’ and this experience inspired their Narrative Writing instantly. They had great classroom management, and it was a joy to have in class.”
-2nd Grade Teacher,
Solana Santa Fe Elementary School
“My 2nd grade students absolutely loved learning via the Dolphin Doctor program. As a lifelong lover of marine biology and dolphins, the education provided was amazing. Dolphin Doctor provided my underrepresented students the opportunity to engage in a meaningful learning experience within our own classroom which matched our standards perfectly. Students often refer to the lessons they learned and apply it to topics we are learning about in class. It was great to see them so engaged and excited!”
