Dr. Rodrigues is an aquatic mammal veterinarian (DVM, MSc, PhD) focused on endangered cetacean health and conservation. She is Operation GRACE’s on-the-ground representative in South America, in collaboration with the R3 Animal Association. Dr. Rodrigues’ main work is focused on expanding regional veterinary capacity, river dolphin health and cetacean rescue and rehabilitation. She is part of the team of specialists leading Amazon river dolphin health assessments in Brazil, and the care of Franciscana dolphin calves under rehabilitation at R3 Animal Association as part of the Alliance for Franciscana Dolphin Conservation, Rescue, Rehabilitation, and Research.
